Waiting Rum

then you promised you will come
your laugh said you will come
I laid out a dinner,
a rhyme and a glass of rum,
moon was calm but
my heart went out like a drum.

your laugh said you will come
I know, you winked, you wanted
I am not so dumb,
time doesn’t fly, when I am too shy
I waited with patience
some beats missed and pumped were some.

your laugh said you will come
but the storm you sent
dinner was ruined and spilled was rum
you flew with the wind
I also wanted to, but I stood still
even then I hoped, you will come.

because you promised you will come
that calming moon said you will come
that blowing wind said you will come
that bumping heart said you will come
that enticing laugh said you will come
then why o my did not you come?
